Operetta Meets Brass!

Following the success of 'Gilbert and Sullivan Goes Brass!' in 2015 with the award winning Knaphill and St Johns Operatic Group (KASJOG), The Egham Band will once again perform alongside KASJOG in a light hearted and fun filled evening of entertainment in their next concert 'Operetta Meets Brass!'

The concert, Operetta Meets Brass, will run for two nights (Friday September 8th at Manorcroft School in Egham, and Saturday September 9th at St Mary of Bethany church in Woking), starting at 7:45pm, and will feature a range of well-known Gilbert and Sullivan tunes, alongside other familiar chorus numbers.

The band will accompany the on stage performers in a programme of operatic delights from Gilbert and Sullivan, Strauss, Lehar, Offenbach and Mozart, including rousing choruses from Iolanthe and The Pirates of Penzance;  tuneful ensembles and duets from Patience, Die Fledermaus and The Merry Widow;  and dramatic solos from HMS Pinafore and The Magic Flute.  There will even be a little dancing ...

During the interval, refreshments including wine, cheese and biscuits will be served free of charge!
